A Better Impact Case Study
Keystone Sporting Solutions, led by volunteer management specialist Kat Ingram, was contracted to manage 100 general volunteers for the 2023 Australian Masters Games and faced fragmented, state-by-state volunteer systems (previously using Rosterfy) that created planning inefficiencies and a lack of continuity. They needed a flexible, cost‑effective platform—so Keystone turned to Better Impact, using the Better Impact app / Volunteer Impact platform to centralise volunteer registration and management.
Keystone implemented Better Impact’s Volunteer Impact platform, integrating the app into the AMG website, enabling self‑service shift booking, automated inductions with a required quiz, and document handovers for future events. The result was faster onboarding and reduced admin time, higher satisfaction (survey scores rose from about 5 to about 8), only 2 of 100 volunteers required extra help, and a reusable system between Games—demonstrating measurable time and cost savings with strong support from Better Impact.
