Hope Women's Centers' Journey to Selecting Volunteer Impact

Hope Women's Center, a faith-based nonprofit serving vulnerable women and teen girls across six Arizona centers, was burdened by paper-based volunteer applications, spreadsheets and an outdated CoolFocus system that made onboarding, training and hour tracking manual and time-consuming. After evaluating multiple volunteer management systems, they selected Better Impact’s Volunteer Impact to modernize volunteer applications, move trainings online, and link multiple centers.

Better Impact implemented Volunteer Impact (Enterprise Edition) with linked center accounts, a mobile volunteer portal, and eLearning modules, enabling volunteers to log hours and complete onboarding online. The switch streamlined processes, increased volunteer engagement, centralized and secured data, and improved reporting—saving about 240 hours per year, valued at $5,192, and yielding a reported 419% ROI while boosting staff satisfaction, efficiency and effectiveness.
