SESAME launches platform in a short time with Beta Acid

Beta Acid worked with Sesame, an early-stage NYC-based restaurant marketplace, to fix a broken food delivery system plagued by exorbitant fees for consumers and losses for restaurants. The challenge was to build a multi-stakeholder platform that could ingest and normalize disparate restaurant data, process payments, transmit orders, and dispatch drivers while providing a seamless user experience.

The solution implemented by Beta Acid involved building a React.js application with a GraphQL API backend hosted on AWS, integrating Stripe for payments and Firebase for authentication. Beta Acid delivered a complete platform for consumers, restaurants, and administrators, enabling Sesame to launch quickly and within a reasonable budget. As a result, Beta Acid Ventures became an investor in the company, powering its business from early stage through growth.
