Meny & Spar Supermarkets - Customer Case Study

The Scandinavian supermarket groups Meny & Spar Supermarkets, represented by their partner KFI, faced the challenge of proactively managing energy consumption and costs across more than 100 stores. With annual energy bills between $50,000 and $150,000 per location, they needed better control, detailed reporting, and a way to verify the effectiveness of new technologies to meet CSR requirements. Best.Energy, along with its partner and its Eniscope technology, was brought in to address this challenge.

Best.Energy's solution involved installing over 250 Eniscope devices to monitor 1,200 circuits, providing granular, real-time energy data. This allowed for the immediate identification and elimination of energy wastage. The results were significant, with over 40 stores achieving immediate savings of more than 15%. In total, the project saved over 3 million kWh of energy per annum and reduced CO2 emissions by more than 600 tons every year, delivering substantial financial and environmental benefits.
