How a classifieds site increased user safety and experience at no additional cost

anibis.ch, a Swiss classifieds marketplace and part of the Ringier group, needed a better way to moderate rapidly growing listing volumes without increasing costs. Its small in-house team could only review about 10% of listings and had to focus on high-risk categories, which let scammers move into less monitored sections and hurt user safety and experience. Besedo worked with anibis.ch using its Implio moderation platform to address this challenge.

Besedo first implemented tailored filter automation to help anibis.ch collect labeled data, then used that data to train AI moderation models and expand automation further. Over two years, Besedo helped anibis.ch go from 0% to 94% automation, with 99.8% accuracy and 85% recall. The result was 100% pre-publication moderation, 85% of fraudulent listings blocked before going live, and 60% fewer listings reported by users, all at the same cost as before.
