A Bentley Case Study
SATRIA Technologies, a Malaysian engineering start-up, was contracted by Tenaga Nasional Berhad to design and supply six types of control relay panels (19 units) for a new Pandamaran substation but faced a tightened 20-day delivery deadline. To meet the requirement, SATRIA adopted Bentley’s Promis.e (alongside Bentley Navigator and MicroStation) to move from manual AutoCAD workflows to an intelligent, centralized electrical design process.
Using Bentley’s Promis.e, SATRIA built a shared parts database, templates, and automated cross‑referencing so engineers could collaboratively generate schematics, bills of materials, and reports. The Bentley solution cut delivery time by 50% (submissions completed in 20 days vs. an estimated 40), reduced schematic drafting from two days to one, sped cross‑referencing from days to seconds, lowered errors and waste by about 20–25%, and saved SATRIA MYR 20,000.
