Oman Gas Company Digitalizes its Reliability and Integrity Program

Oman Gas Company S.A.O.C., the principal gas transporter in the Sultanate of Oman, faced scattered data, manual Excel-based reliability calculations, and a small team trying to manage a 2,500‑km transmission network across dozens of facilities. To move from reactive to proactive asset management, OGC sought a single digital platform and selected Bentley’s AssetWise Asset Reliability to digitize its reliability and integrity program.

Bentley implemented AssetWise Asset Reliability integrated with systems like OSIsoft PI and SAP EAM, introduced automated workflows, handheld field data capture, and closed‑loop analytics for RCA, RBI, and OEE. The solution centralized condition monitoring, triggered alerts and accountability, and shifted the culture to reliability-centered maintenance — reducing equipment failures, optimizing maintenance costs, and improving reliability performance by 9 percent.
