NAFTA-GAZ Develops Reusable Modules for Mobile Gas and Improves Project Delivery by 60 Percent

Nafta-Gaz, a Jaslo, Poland–based engineering firm for the oil and gas industry, faced the challenge of developing a flexible, reusable modular natural gas treatment plant whose skids could be assembled, disassembled, transported, and reconfigured for different field conditions while producing reliable deliverables faster than traditional CAD/2D workflows. For this USD 12.5 million project Nafta-Gaz turned to Bentley tools, including OpenPlant, AutoPIPE, Navigator, and OpenPlant Modeler/Isometrics, to meet those requirements.

Bentley’s 3D plant design and review applications enabled rapid model building, pipe stress analysis, and multidisciplinary iModel collaboration (with catalog support from CS Softdesk), producing accurate drawings and bills of material and simplifying compliance with industry codes. Using Bentley’s solution improved overall project delivery time by an estimated 60% versus standard CAD and 2D technology, lowered on-site construction costs and installation time, and produced a reusable, environmentally friendlier skid-based plant design.
