IZZI Brings Triple Play Services to 8 Million More Customers with New Network Design

izzi Telecom, formed from Cablevisión and Cablemás, needed to reconstruct and modernize its aging hybrid fiber-coaxial network in Santiago de Querétaro to deploy Fiber Deep/FTTC architecture and extend triple-play services to millions of new customers. To tackle tight schedules and performance targets for bandwidth and availability, izzi Telecom partnered with Bentley and used Bentley Map, Bentley Coax, and Bentley Fiber to map existing infrastructure and design the upgraded network.

Bentley delivered an end-to-end intelligent network model and integrated inside/outside plant designs, enabling real-time collaboration, accurate construction documents, and field-verified layouts. Bentley’s communications applications cut design time and costs by up to 25%, improved design productivity by about 10%, helped complete the USD 48.5M Santiago de Querétaro FTTC project ahead of schedule, and supported izzi Telecom in extending triple-play services to 8 million new customers (in addition to its 7.5 million existing customers).
