Atkins, a global engineering and geotechnical consultancy, faced a challenge in integrating diverse geotechnical data and workflows across projects and teams. While Atkins used Bentley’s OpenGround Cloud to store geotechnical information, the team relied on time-consuming, error-prone manual exports into QGIS and ArcGIS, which hindered efficiency, consistency, and cross-discipline collaboration.

Bentley implemented an automated solution using OpenGround Cloud and its Web API to sync geotechnical datasets directly with QGIS/ArcGIS (and integrate with PLAXIS), creating a single source of truth and seamless interoperability.
