A Bentley Case Study
Aqua+, a Moscow-based SCADA specialist, was engaged by Khabarovsk Vodocanal to design, construct, install, and commission an automated water quality monitoring and control system for the RUB 10 billion Tunguska Groundwater Intake Facilities. Faced with a complex industrial control system requiring precise instrumentation, enterprise integration, and the production of thousands of diagrams and reports on a tight schedule, Aqua+ selected Bentley’s Promis.e to support collaborative electrical and control-system design.
Using Bentley Promis.e, Aqua+ implemented a connected design environment that automated document generation, enforced data consistency, and enabled an Excel-driven PLC generator. Bentley’s tools helped Aqua+ produce roughly 6,000 pages of high‑quality documentation in 10 months—two months ahead of plan—while increasing design speed by 50% and improving documentation quality by 70%; PLC schematics and cabinet specification tasks were completed about 40% and 30% faster respectively, reducing installation and commissioning time and contributing to significant operational savings.
