The Shanghai New Art Gallery - Customer Case Study

The Shanghai New Art Gallery, a well-known art museum, faced the challenge of creating a transformative and immersive installation to maintain its reputation for innovation. They needed to integrate advanced projection technology to visualize a classical Chinese art piece on unusually contoured surfaces, requiring high-quality, versatile projectors. They turned to vendor BenQ for a solution.

BenQ implemented a solution using four of its PX9600 large venue projectors. The hardware's flexible installation capabilities, including 360-degree tilt projection and ultra-wide angle lenses, allowed for high-resolution projection mapping onto the complex exhibition walls. The result was a stunningly realistic recreation of a Qingming era marketplace that amazed visitors. The BenQ projectors provided critical reliability with a dual-lamp system and delivered exceptional visual performance with high brightness, a strong contrast ratio, and precise color customization tools.
