A BenQ Case Study
The Saint Petersburg Planetarium, the world's largest facility of its kind, faced the challenge of creating an unforgettable cosmic experience for its guests. They needed a digital projection solution capable of filling their massive 37-meter dome with a seamless, high-contrast, and highly detailed 360-degree view of the galaxy. To achieve this, they partnered with BenQ to find the right projectors for the permanent installation.
BenQ implemented a solution using 40 of their SU922 projectors installed inside a gyrosphere. These projectors, with their 5,000 lumens brightness and 3000:1 contrast ratio, delivered vivid, true-to-life colors and deep blacks even in bright ambient light, allowing for clear viewing and photography. The result was a spectacular exhibit with a significant "wow factor" that immediately became a major success. The planetarium staff reported being absolutely satisfied, and the installation propelled the venue to become a top must-see tourist attraction in Russia.
