National Palace Museum - Customer Case Study

The National Palace Museum, a prestigious institution housing ancient Chinese artifacts, sought to move beyond traditional exhibits and create a dynamic digital experience for its Qianlong era collection. The challenge was to use innovative display technologies to bring historical artworks to life interactively and realistically without losing any detail. They partnered with vendor BenQ to utilize a suite of display products for this project.

BenQ implemented a multifaceted solution using their Full HD Projectors to create a massive seamless image, Ultra-Short-Throw Projectors for flexible use of space, and Transparent and Interactive Flat Panel Displays to dissolve barriers between guests and artifacts. This allowed visitors to interact with the exhibition, even projecting their own clothing onto ancient vases. The result was a highly successful and immersive exhibition that provided a lifelike interpretation of the era, giving the museum greater flexibility for future collaborations and a new understanding of how technology can revitalize its collection.
