ENT Doctors at the Royal Berkshire Hospital Utilize DuoBoard for their Satellite Operations

The Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) department at the Royal Berkshire Hospital faced a challenge in coordinating patient care and specialist consultations after splitting its operations between a new site in Henley and its original location in Reading. To address the need for effective cross-site collaboration, especially for reviewing medical imagery, the department partnered with vendor BenQ to implement a solution.

BenQ provided its DuoBoard interactive displays, OPS slot-in PCs, and smart conference cameras to create a complete collaborative system. This allowed ENT specialists at both sites to conduct high-definition video conferences and annotate directly on 4K medical images like CT and MRI scans during discussions. The BenQ solution improved diagnostic accuracy, enabled remote teaching, and increased training efficiency, helping the department offset COVID-19 setbacks and ultimately see more patients each day.
