Charles Schwab used Benevity to scale its Schwab Volunteer Week from a one-day event in seven cities into a week-long cultural movement engaging nearly 7,000 employees across 170 communities. Faced with the challenge of rapidly growing participation with a small central team, Schwab relied on the Benevity platform to centralize registration and program management while building internal visibility and a Community Ambassador network.
Using the Benevity platform to launch registration and coordinate projects, Schwab ran 548 projects with 6,934 volunteers in 2018 (5,000 signed up in the first 24 hours), partnering with 302 nonprofits across 170 cities to deliver 27,000 hours of service valued at $650,000 and reach 32,000+ constituents. Benevity’s solution helped drive measurable culture and community impact—99% of volunteers reported stronger community ties, 97% said it fostered teamwork, 96% said it made them more likely to recommend Schwab, and Schwab’s pro bono program has delivered over $2 million in nonprofit consulting.
