Morningstar, a leading provider of independent investment insights, needed a way to engage and unify a global workforce of 12,000 employees across 30 countries. The company wanted to build a more equitable employee giving and volunteering program, and it worked with Benevity to support that effort.

With Benevity’s giving and volunteering platform, Morningstar launched a program that emphasized executive buy-in, local team captains, and frictionless giving in multiple markets. In 2022, the program contributed 23,000 volunteer hours and $850,000 in donations, with 52% employee participation and 81% satisfaction. It also drove a 70% increase in employees logging at least one volunteer hour and a 100% increase in international employee participation.
