Hootsuite, a Canada-based technology company with 900 employees, wanted to keep its people engaged in corporate impact work during the 2022 economic downturn. One of its guiding principles is helping employees connect with each other and their communities, and the company used Benevity to support its social impact program, Hootsuite for Good.
Using Benevity’s employee engagement solutions, Hootsuite reworked its largest initiatives into a global day of service and a two-week Festival of Goodness, while also adding five-minute social impact challenges in meetings. The results included a 573% year-over-year increase in volunteer participation for Beyond the Nest, 42% employee participation in that event, 30% participation in the Festival of Goodness, $173,266 CAD donated to 230 nonprofits, and a 6% overall annual participation lift.
