Definity is an insurance company in Canada with 2,600 employees. The company had been using Benevity since 2017 through its employee platform, iCare, for giving, matching, and volunteering. As its social impact strategy evolved, Definity looked for additional software to support a more streamlined granting process and make it easier to track, review, and report on impact.

Definity expanded its partnership with Benevity and adopted its community investment solution. The integrated approach brought employee giving and granting together, gave the team more insight into the nonprofits that mattered to employees and communities, and centralized reporting across initiatives. In 2023, Definity invested more than $2 million in grants across Canada, donated more than $39,000 through Employee Appreciation Week, matched more than $60,000 in employee donations, and doubled its corporate record by logging 4,500 volunteer hours.
