Benefits that are flexible, accessible and evolving

Benefex worked with energy company Centrica to create a truly flexible benefits scheme for its diverse and widespread workforce of over 30,000 employees. The challenge was to design a solution that was accessible and appealing to all staff, regardless of their role, location, or seniority, and to move beyond a traditional, limited enrolment window.

Benefex implemented an 'anytime' flexible benefits platform called OneHub, allowing employees to select benefits on-demand using any device. The solution included simplified benefit documents, a network of trained Benefit Advocates, and the use of the Yammer social network to gather direct employee feedback, which led to the introduction of new benefits like a technology offering. The results were highly successful, with 18,687 employees submitting benefits, 98% of helpdesk calls answered within 20 seconds, and the program winning a 'Championing an Ageing Workforce' award.
