Benefex and E.ON have been working together on a common goal - to engage E.ON’s diverse workforce

E.ON faced the challenge of engaging its highly diverse and widely dispersed workforce of 10,500 colleagues across more than 80 sites to improve uptake of its flexible benefits scheme. The company, working with the vendor Benefex, needed a creative strategy to reach different employee demographics, including office staff, field engineers, and support personnel, to refresh interest and increase participation.

Benefex implemented a multi-faceted strategy that included a "Christmas Elfie" selfie campaign, fun educational puzzles, and targeted communications like a dial-in news service. They also delivered an improved online portal designed to mimic a familiar shopping experience. As a result, Benefex helped E.ON achieve its most successful enrolment ever, with 71% of employees signing into the site, 60% submitting benefits choices, and 22% of benefits seeing an increase in uptake.
