CompTIA Addresses the Tech Workforce’s Learning Needs and Increases Revenue With a Revamped, on-demand Continuing Education Program

CompTIA, the nonprofit industry association that supports IT professionals worldwide, needed a better way to help members renew expiring certifications while keeping pace with changing learner expectations. Traditional continuing education required scheduled sessions and manual credit tracking, creating friction for busy professionals and causing CompTIA to miss revenue opportunities from learners earning CE credits elsewhere. To solve this, CompTIA partnered with BenchPrep and used its learner success platform to modernize the recertification experience.

BenchPrep helped CompTIA launch CertMaster CE, an on-demand, digital continuing education program with mobile access, personalized learning paths, dashboards, flashcards, and automatic certification renewal upon mastery. The new program drove a 20% increase in revenue in its first year, doubled expected revenue, and helped 15,000 IT professionals renew their certifications. Strong results led CompTIA to expand its partnership with BenchPrep to build CertMaster Learn as well.
