The Heico Companies, LLC, a holding company managing more than 70 firms across metal processing, construction and industrial technologies, needed a better way to identify and prevent potentially Serious Injuries and Fatalities (pSIFs) across its diverse, global portfolio. Traditional EHS approaches emphasized non‑fatal incidents and often missed the high‑potential tasks and root causes that lead to SIF events, so Heico sought a targeted, data‑driven solution from Benchmark Gensuite.

Benchmark Gensuite deployed the Benchmark pSIF AI Advisor™, powered by Bowers Management Analytics’ machine learning, to analyze 20,000 historical data points from 2018–2020; the tool identified 699 pSIFs at 95% accuracy. The AI was integrated with Benchmark’s Incident Management, Concern Reporting and Safety Observations modules, producing faster, more actionable insights than manual methods and enabling Heico to incorporate findings into a firm‑wide continuous improvement plan with rapid C‑level buy‑in.
