Allen Management, led by President Michael Allen, is a $14M hospitality management company with 19 hotels (1,300 rooms) across Virginia and West Virginia. The business relied on an inefficient, manual purchasing and receiving system that couldn’t track vendor costs, backorders or transportation fees, and remote locations created constant paperwork delays. Michael needed a customizable purchasing solution that would integrate with his FOCUS accounting system and work across each property as separate profit centers.

Michael implemented Bellwether Purchasing Software (requisition, purchasing, receiving and the Accounting Interface Bridge) and built a 300-item catalog to centralize buying. Integrated with FOCUS, the system now imports data to the general ledger, reveals vendor price creep, speeds problem resolution, and enables tighter cost control and vendor consolidation — freeing time to seek competitive suppliers and moving managers away from manual processes.
