A Bell Techlogix Case Study
Prince George’s Community College (PGCC), a large community college in Largo, Maryland serving more than 40,000 students, needed to replace its outdated Novell GroupWise email system after it was no longer supported and had become inefficient and difficult to use. PGCC worked with Bell Techlogix to evaluate options and determine a modern email platform, ultimately selecting Microsoft Exchange Online as part of Office 365.
Bell Techlogix designed and led a phased migration approach from GroupWise to Exchange Online, including migration of email, calendar, and contacts, plus synchronization of HR data to Active Directory and Office 365, federation services for single sign-on, and policies for email security, archiving, and mobile device support. The result was a successful move to Microsoft’s cloud-based email service, reducing the college’s burden for server maintenance and improving reliability; PGCC has remained a Bell Techlogix client for nearly 10 years.
