Finning, a global Caterpillar equipment dealer with nearly 15,000 employees across Canada, South America, and the UK & Ireland, was managing one global intranet, three regional intranets, and more than 700 outdated SharePoint sites. The company needed a single, modern employee experience that would make communications easier, improve collaboration, and work across a diverse, distributed workforce. Beezy’s intranet and digital workplace solution for Microsoft SharePoint and Office 365 was selected to replace the fragmented setup.

Beezy implemented a unified intranet called Traction, giving Finning a centralized platform for targeted communications, social-style engagement, and integrations with tools like Workday and ServiceNow. In just three months, Traction drew nearly 8,000 unique daily visitors—more than half the workforce—and helped Finning quickly deliver both global and region-specific updates during COVID-19. Beezy also supported the migration of Yammer communities, improving security, control, and employee experience.
