Global Financial Institution Uses VMS To Maintain Tech Leadership

Global Financial Institution turned to Beeline to gain visibility and control over a complex extended workforce of onshore and offshore contingent staff and SOW-based professional services. Faced with the need to move beyond domestic IT labor cost savings to program centralization, risk mitigation and global contract compliance, the client chose Beeline’s Vendor Management System (VMS) to standardize and manage contingent staffing and services procurement.

Beeline implemented a phased VMS rollout beginning in 2005 (onshore IT), adding offshore IT (2006) and all IT projects (2007) to bring $95 million in spend under management, then expanded to non-IT categories (2009) and global regions through 2012—India, UK/Channel Islands, Mexico and APAC—raising total managed spend to nearly $200 million. The Beeline VMS delivered measurable cost savings via rate-card enforcement and centralization, improved vendor performance management, standardized onboarding/offboarding to reduce security and compliance risk, and robust reporting/analytics to support more predictive, data-driven decisions.
