Knopf Doubleday - Customer Case Study

The publishing imprint Knopf Doubleday engaged vendor BeeLiked to create a campaign that would generate excitement for Dan Brown's new novel, ORIGIN. The challenge was to engage the author's massive fanbase, raise awareness for the book launch, and collect valuable marketing data with very little initial information about the book's plot to work with.

BeeLiked developed a two-part solution featuring a book cover design contest and a voting campaign. The key innovation was a personalized video that made it appear Dan Brown was signing a book for each individual voter; this was achieved using video personalization technology and a custom font replicating the author's handwriting. This solution, built on BeeLiked's contest platform, resulted in over 500,000 entries and achieved a 56% conversion rate, successfully meeting the client's goals for engagement and data collection.
