Seaboard Foods, a U.S. connected food system with 5,000 employees across six states and more than 500 farm and processing locations, faced a major communication challenge: under 12% of workers had corporate email or intranet access, making it difficult to deliver safety protocols, timely updates, and company-wide recognition across diverse languages and remote sites. To preserve its close-knit culture and reach frontline staff, Seaboard Foods adopted Beekeeper’s employee communication app, branded internally as “SBF Connect.”

Beekeeper rolled out a mobile-first platform that requires no corporate email and launched with 600 initial activations, enabling daily live updates, safety alerts, peer recognition, and two-way engagement. The Beekeeper solution increased visibility and engagement—40% of active users contribute content, 87% access via mobile, 44% are hourly workers, and 25 languages/dialects are supported—resulting in faster emergency communications, stronger recognition and community support, and improved operational alignment across the company.
