Grand Hyatt Doha, a 5-star luxury hotel with about 600 staff, struggled to keep frontline, non-desk employees informed and connected across a large property. Traditional email and ad-hoc WhatsApp groups left teams siloed and delayed critical operational communication. To solve this, Grand Hyatt Doha chose Beekeeper and its custom-branded mobile communication app, “HyBuzz,” to reach every employee in real time.

Beekeeper delivered a mobile- and desktop-accessible platform, kiosks and TV displays for non-smartphone users, and an adoption plan that grew users from an initial 40 to nearly full activation. The result: 90% activated users, a 50% reduction in email, nearly 100 posts and 65+ comments weekly, 56% of employees actively contributing, a jump from 200 to 595 active users during a viral selfie contest, and employee satisfaction rising from 4.3 to 4.4 — all helping Grand Hyatt Doha save manager time and increase guest-facing time.
