Case Study: Feather Falls Casino achieves unified crisis communications and stronger employee engagement with Beekeeper

A Beekeeper Case Study

Feather Falls Casino, Lodge & Brewing Co. Improves Communications Management with Beekeeper

Feather Falls Casino faced critical communication gaps after the 2017 Oroville Dam crisis revealed that many of its roughly 520 employees—especially guest‑facing staff without dedicated email—had no fast, workforce‑wide way to get emergency updates or day‑to‑day information. To fix this, the property selected Beekeeper, a mobile operational communication platform, to build a unified crisis communications strategy and reach employees in real time across shifts and locations.

Beekeeper was rolled out across the casino, lodge and brewery to replace bulletin‑board notices with mobile streams, targeted messages and the two‑way “Casino Connect” channel. The platform connected hundreds of previously hard‑to‑reach staff, enabled emergency alerts (and continued to function as a primary channel during the Camp Fire despite a brief fiber outage), improved onboarding and recognition programs, increased transparency and operational productivity, and helped boost employee morale and retention.
