Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group faced sudden operational disruption and constantly changing health-and-safety protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic, including furloughs that left many frontline staff without email access. To stay agile and keep both active and furloughed employees informed and trained, Mandarin Oriental deployed Beekeeper’s mobile employee app (MyMO/Beekeeper employee application) as its digital workplace.
Beekeeper provided a solution of real-time mobile communication, digitized SOP summary cards, Lua-integrated interactive housekeeping checklists, and an Innovation Stream for employee idea submissions. Using the Beekeeper platform, Mandarin Oriental was able to reach furloughed staff, rapidly disseminate updated protocols across global properties, maintain training access, and boost employee engagement and operational agility during reopening.
