Chalhoub Group - Customer Case Study

The Chalhoub Group, a leading luxury retail, distribution, and marketing partner across the Middle East with over 12,000 employees in 14 countries (around 75% frontline), needed a mobile-friendly way to reach and engage its dispersed frontline workforce. In 2018 the company found intranet and corporate email were not being accessed by store teams and relying on area managers was neither scalable nor measurable, so Chalhoub Group adopted Beekeeper’s mobile communication platform (employee app) to bridge the gap.

Beekeeper was rolled out as Chalhoub Group’s primary frontline channel in 2018, using segmented Streams, culture-building hashtags (e.g., #frontlinersatheart), Microsoft Azure AD integration for automated user management, and single access to tools like Axonify. The platform connected roughly 12,000 employees across 14 countries, enabled effective two-way and crisis communications during COVID-19, and contributed to tangible outcomes including an internal “Most Impactful Project of the Year” award (2018) and the Great Place to Work UAE certification (2019); Chalhoub Group is now expanding Beekeeper’s use with a planned document library.
