Beckman Coulter's solution involved implementing a digital faxed order management system using the existing Meditech clinical outpatient scheduling module. This created a centralized, searchable, and HIPAA-compliant repository for all orders. The initiative included staff training and establishing new standard work procedures. As a result, Beckman Coulter helped the hospital achieve a 60% decrease in order wait time, a 25% reduction in patient registration wait time, and a 77% decrease in the proportion of patients experiencing increased wait times.
