Case Study: The Beck Group achieves streamlined, company-wide model-based estimating with Beck Technology’s DESTINI Estimator

The Beck Group faced a decade-long dependence on Timberline and needed a more integrated, forward-looking estimating platform to support its model-based workflows and companywide consistency. They selected DESTINI Estimator from Beck Technology (complementing their existing use of DESTINI Profiler) to reduce tool fragmentation, lower costs by consolidating processes, and better serve field and project teams while maintaining the firm’s culture of innovation.

Beck Technology supported a phased implementation that includes rollout to all five regional offices within six months, two half-day basic training sessions per preconstruction team (with follow-ups), weekly user groups and technical support, and a corporate master database with localized production copies plus a “sandbox” for testing via automated synchronization. As a result, The Beck Group began training in Dallas/Fort Worth in February 2017, is phasing out Timberline, and expects improved continuity, easier estimator customization and sharing, and streamlined estimating operations thanks to Beck Technology’s DESTINI Estimator.
