The Bristol Port Company - Customer Case Study

The Bristol Port Company partnered with Bechtle to replace ageing, mission-critical infrastructure that was difficult to manage, scale, and maintain. The port needed a more reliable, future-proof platform for its VMware estate and datacentre operations, with better availability and less strain on the IT team.

Bechtle designed and delivered a stretched-cluster virtualisation solution using HP Gen8 servers, enabling live migration between two sites and consolidation of workloads into a highly available, disaster-tolerant environment. The project reduced the need to maintain legacy hardware, improved flexibility and manageability, and created spare capacity for development when DR space was not in use, while being completed on time and on budget.
