Case Study: Lotto24 achieves greater scalability and reliability with Bechtle

A Bechtle Case Study

Preview of the Lotto24 Case Study

Lotto24 leaves nothing up to chance when it comes to IT

Lotto24, Germany’s leading online lottery provider, needed to insource its online platform from a third-party host and move it into its own data centres without disrupting service. The company wanted a more manageable, highly available, and scalable infrastructure that could handle traffic spikes from large jackpots while supporting ongoing development and testing.

Bechtle designed and implemented a new three-site data centre setup in just five months, built on Dell EMC VSPEX reference architecture, HP c7000 blade systems, VMware vSphere 6 Enterprise Plus, Dell EMC VNX 5200 storage, and Cisco networking and security components. The fully virtualised solution improved availability, reduced downtime risk, enabled faster deployment and more flexible scaling, and allowed Lotto24 to manage all infrastructure in-house while continuing operations without interruption.
