Boosting the productivity of iPad and Windows users with Office 365

Werner & Mertz, the European care-products manufacturer behind brands like Erdal, Frosch and tana, wanted to modernize its IT environment and reduce the time spent manually installing and maintaining Microsoft Office. Working with Bechtle, the company set out to introduce Office 365 so employees could use the same Office version across multiple devices, including iPads and Windows PCs, while also preparing for future online services such as Lync.

Bechtle implemented Office 365 Pro Plus and Office 365 Enterprise E3, defined the tenant, and built an Active Directory Federation Services connection between the local directory and Office 365 for automatic user management. The result was a flexible, centrally managed platform that let Werner & Mertz use the same license on up to five devices per user, improved employee productivity, simplified IT administration, and enabled faster responses to future requirements without disrupting operations.
