Timberland wanted to launch its new Earthkeepers™ range and “Nature Needs Heroes” app across Europe in a fresh, engaging way that would get consumers outdoors and interacting with the brand. Because Experiential Marketing created the first branded pan-European geocaching treasure hunt, blending exploration, geocaching, and digital media into an outdoor adventure for Timberland’s target audience. The campaign generated 700K exposure and 60K direct engagements, while sparking interest from consumers and bloggers and inspiring thousands of new outdoor heroes.
