News Corp Australia needed help turning its September Club marquee at the AFL Grand Final into the most desirable corporate hospitality destination in a highly competitive field of 14 marquees. The company wanted to create a standout VIP experience that would stop guests from using the invite as a launchpad to visit other marquees, and brought in Because Experiential Marketing to support the event.
Because Experiential Marketing delivered an end-to-end corporate event experience that included travel, hotel and match-day arrangements, a Club Room app, live Fox Sports broadcasting, celebrity and sports expert appearances, and interactive entertainment such as augmented reality table footy, a green screen photo op and a Bathurst race car experience. The activation helped attract 560+ guests across pre- and post-match events, drove 25% participation in the AR game, and generated 21K social and SMS photo shares.
