A BearingPoint Case Study

Preview of the Continental AG Case Study

Continental AG builds digital services for connected bikers with BearingPoint and a €39.2 billion business base

Continental AG, a major automotive supplier, faced the challenge of evolving from selling vehicle components to establishing a direct relationship with end consumers. They sought to leverage their electronic horizon (eHorizon) technology to create new digital services for motorcyclists and build a new business model. They engaged BearingPoint to help identify these services and define the offering.

BearingPoint employed its Digital Innovation Generator tool to pinpoint the most relevant digital services for motorcyclists and assess the required business resources. The solution developed new value propositions and crystallized the eHorizon business concept for motorcycles. As a result, Continental ITS was positioned as an end-to-end service provider and orchestrator in smart mobility, laying the groundwork for a high-growth business model and future market share growth.
