Case Study: Northwest Indian College achieves off-grid e-bike charging and energy resilience with Beam Global BeamBike™

A Beam Global Case Study

Northwest Indian College deploys BeamBike™ for 12 e-bikes with Beam Global

Northwest Indian College (NWIC) sought to expand clean, campus-wide micro-mobility options for its students and staff. Their challenge was to offer safe, accessible e-bike charging without relying on the electrical grid, avoiding any construction that could impact culturally important areas, reducing indoor charging fire risks, and aligning with their Tribal energy sovereignty commitments. They selected the BeamBike™ solar-powered e-bike charging system from vendor Beam Global to meet these needs.

The solution implemented by Beam Global was the off-grid BeamBike™ system, which generates and stores its own solar electricity and requires no construction or permitting. The results included strengthened Tribal energy sovereignty, expanded access to clean transportation, and zero environmental impact during installation. The system also enhanced emergency preparedness by providing resilient power during outages, establishing NWIC as a model for other Tribal communities.
