M+ is Hong Kong’s first museum dedicated to visual culture, and as visitor numbers grew, the team needed a better way to deliver supplementary content without adding friction to the museum experience. They looked for a centralized QR code platform with customization, analytics, multilingual support, and dynamic redirection, and turned to Uniqode, formerly Beaconstac, to manage those visitor touchpoints.
Using Uniqode’s dynamic QR Codes, M+ provided easy access to maps, programs, audio guides, and other digital content across the visitor journey, with smart language-based redirection for Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and English. In just a few months, the museum recorded more than 148,000 scans and 113,000+ unique visitors across 42 QR Codes, while gaining useful analytics to spot bottlenecks and improve the overall visitor experience.
