Case Study: Altium Packaging achieves cost savings and scalable cloud migration with BDO Digital and Azure

Altium Packaging migrates 170 servers to Azure in 3 months with BDO

Altium Packaging, a leading plastic container supplier, faced challenges with inefficient data storage and management due to an expiring data center renewal, end-of-life hardware, and limited room for growth. To address this, they partnered with BDO Digital, who utilized an Azure Foundations Assessment and Azure Migration Planning and Design to develop a roadmap for their cloud migration.

BDO Digital successfully migrated 170 of Altium Packaging's servers to Microsoft Azure using Azure Site Recovery over a three-month period. As a result, the customer avoided several hundred thousand dollars in capital expenditures, eliminated datacenter contract expenses, refocused IT resources on business objectives, and enhanced their disaster recovery posture and scalability.
