Thomas Ridley benefits from Accord® Voice WMS

Thomas Ridley Foodservice, a major UK delivered wholesaler, needed to improve order accuracy and reduce the cost of fixing incorrect deliveries as its customer base grew. Although it already used stock control and RF scanning for goods receiving, other warehouse processes were still paper-based and prone to human error. BCP Software, through its Accord Voice WMS, was brought in to support the company’s warehouse operations.

BCP Software implemented Accord Voice Voice-directed WMS with Vocollect TS hardware across put away, picking, replenishment, stocktaking, and inventory, phased in over 12 months. The result was a fully voice-managed warehouse with 65 users, service levels above 99.99%, and picking errors virtually eliminated. Thomas Ridley Foodservice reported more than £175,000 in annual savings, including £150,000 from reduced mis-picks, around 10% productivity gains, and about a 10% reduction in labour costs.
