Bako NW benefits from Accord® Voice warehouse technology

BAKO North Western, a major food industry distributor, needed to improve efficiency as its customer base expanded and its warehouse operations grew more complex. It chose BCP Software’s Accord® Voice warehouse technology to replace a largely paper-based process and support better service across receiving, picking, put-away, replenishment, and inventory control.

BCP Software implemented Accord® Voice WMS in phases across BAKO North Western’s warehouse, integrated with existing systems and supported by Vocollect Talkman 5 hardware. The results included a move to a fully voice-based operation, 99.95% picking accuracy, 99.5% order fulfilment, training time cut from two weeks to two hours, and annual savings of more than £75,000, including about £26,000 from fewer mis-picks and around £50,000 in labour savings.
