A BatesMeron Sweet Design Case Study
The Chicago Flower & Garden Show, an event with over 170 years of history under new ownership, faced the challenge of achieving a consistent theme for its eight-day event. The goal was to create branding with broad appeal to attract gardeners of all ages and skill levels. They enlisted the vendor BatesMeron to handle this rebranding and marketing effort.
BatesMeron developed a "Hort Couture" theme that blended flora and fashion, which was executed across events, brochures, print and digital advertising, signage, illustration, and social media. A key element was the creation of "Garden Girl" illustrations that were brought to life during the show. The campaign generated over 400 million media impressions. The results were highly successful, with the show hosting over 40,000 active consumers, adding 25,000 to its community database, and gaining over 6,200 new Facebook followers. The client was thrilled with the outcome and BatesMeron's work.
