Continental Coatings Takes Advantage of Batchmaster Financials Over Sage 300 Financials

Continental Coatings Inc. was using BatchMaster Enterprise (BME) integrated with Sage 300 financials when Accountant Liz Wu found the combined annual software maintenance and the time spent coordinating upgrades between two vendors unsupportable. With only two users on the finance side versus 15–16 using BatchMaster, the company sought a single-vendor financial solution from BatchMaster Software to reduce costs and simplify support.

BatchMaster Software implemented its own financial modules (BatchMaster Financials), upgraded BME from 8.50 to 8.70 and migrated Continental Coatings’ finances (with a concurrent server upgrade), meeting budget and going live mid‑January. The move eliminated dual ASM and support overhead, automated AP/AR posting (saving about 4–5 hours per month on AR and roughly a week per year in total), improved features like bank reconciliation and Excel import/export, and delivered faster, responsive support and rapid feature updates.
