Cain Food Industries Inc., a Dallas-based maker of micro-dose and “clean label” baking ingredients, struggled with poor lot traceability, no real-time inventory/financial visibility, and time-consuming formula calculations driven by variable enzyme bioactivity. BatchMaster Software implemented BatchMaster Manufacturing for SAP Business One in a four-month rollout (implementation began April 1, 2011; go‑live August 1, 2011), delivering real-time inventory and lot traceability, automated unit conversions, formula costing, and lot-strength calculations that adjust ingredient quantities for enzyme bioactivity. The solution reduced calculation errors, sped up recalls and batch management, produced more accurate costing and pick lists, and resulted in better use of inventory, time savings in formulation and compliance, and measurable positive financial impact.
