Offering suppliers choice doubles uptake of efficient e-Invoicing

Renewi, a leading European waste-to-product company, faced a major administrative and environmental challenge: processing roughly 45,000 paper invoices a year from about 10,000 suppliers while upholding strong “green” values. Their Shared Services Center needed to eliminate paper, reduce manual scanning and cope with unpredictable invoice volumes.

Partnering with ICreative and Basware, Renewi deployed Basware Invoice, Contract Matching, Scan & Capture, e-invoicing and supplier portals (including a virtual printer) and outsourced scan-and-capture services. The result: Renewi is now 100% paperless, digital supplier invoicing rose from 30% to around 80%, manual scanning burdens were removed, and the company is positioned to complete its purchase-to-pay transformation.
